CM Dr. Sarma asks senior government functionaries to implement schemes in time
Dibrugarh, June 17: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today held a meeting at the Chief Minister Secretariat in Dibrugarh to assess the progress of various schemes being implemented in Duliajan Legislative Assembly. 
It may be noted that the Chief Minister reviewed a total of 87 important infrastructure projects, including roads, housing, water resources, irrigation and power, which are currently underway in the constituency. 
The Chief Minister during the meeting took stock of the key works under both the Central and State governments’ flagship programmes and directed the concerned functionaries to ensure timely and quality execution of all ongoing projects. 
Chief Minister Dr. Sarma during his visit to Dibrugarh in 2022 announced a road from Moran to Digboi through Naharkatia. In the meeting, he took stock of the progress of the road and asked PWD to complete the road including the portion from Bhadoi Panchali to Digboi. He also reviewed the construction of a mini-stadium being built involving a financial outlay of Rs. 12 crore at Duliajan. He also took the construction progress of the model schools being built at the tea gardens in Duliajan. He also asked the concerned authority to complete the construction by December this year. He also stressed on finishing the construction of 21 Jagannath Community Hall and Skill Centres in a stipulated time. He also took stock of the construction of embankments being built on the rivers of Burhi Dihing, Tingrai etc.  
In the meeting, the Chief Minister took stock of the projects being executed by Housing and Urban Affairs, Power, Panchayat and Rural Development, Health and Family Welfare, PHE, Education, Agriculture departments in the state. He also discussed in the meeting about PMAY (G) houses being built in Dulaijan, the target fixed and the progress so far in the constituency. Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana along with the progress of implementation of Ayushman Bharat Health Account Card (ABHA) Identity Card were also discussed in the meeting. 
On the agricultural front, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma also reviewed the steps taken so far with regard to procure paddy seeds and mustard seeds at the minimum support price from the farmers. Talking on the huge possibility of potato cultivation, the Chief Minister said that if taken right steps, potato farming can lead to huge prosperity to the farming community to entire Dibrugarh district. Dr. Sarma also took note of the progress of registration of PM Kishan in the district. 
The Chief Minister during the meeting also took stock of the man power positions in Police Stations across the district, data on road accidents, disposal of cases, cases registered on the crime  against women and children, action against child marriage etc. 
Industries, Commerce and Public Enterprises Minister Bimal Bora, Power Minister Prasanta Phukan, MLAs Terosh Gowala, Special Chief Secretary MK Yadava, Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Kumar tiwari, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. KK Dwivedi, and other senior officers of the government were present at the meeting.
